Monday, 22nd March 2004 (6220 views) Renowned jewellers Van Cleef & Arpels (VC&A) have been promoting their latest range of gold timepieces in Malayasia, with customers wowed by the exquisite craft on show.<BR/><BR/>VC&A Asia Pacific managing director Benjamin Vuchot says the firm is seeking to widen the number of customers who enjoy their offerings.<BR/><BR/>He told the Star that the Malaysian market for VC&A gems was growing and maturing, adding that consumers were now looking to use the firm's watches as pendants or brooches. <BR/><BR/>Our Asian customers have come to see a Van Cleef & Arpels creation as much an artwork as gold jewellery," he commented. <BR/><BR/>"Considering the time and painstaking craftsmanship that goes into every piece, this is truly so." <BR/><BR/>Since its establishment in 1906 by Alfred Van Cleef and his brother-in-law Charles Arpels, VC&A has won a cult following for its high quality work. <BR/><BR/>European and Asian royalty have worn the company's finest pieces, as well as popular celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly.
