Indian exhibition suggests strong interest in Chinese gold jewellery

Closer links between India and China have been suggested from a new exhibition held this week in a bid to promote trade.<BR/><BR/>A host of products presented at the event were all made in the Guangdong province of China and gold jewellery was a key area, according to the Financial Express.<BR/><BR/>Diafro Jewellery showcased its designs, which specialise in items made with 18 carat gold and diamonds and visitor interest was exceptional.<BR/><BR/>The jeweller hopes to offer customised jewellery to Indian consumers that will meet their varied needs and will be priced around 4,455 to 22,455 rupees.<BR/><BR/>The four-day event is made up of 115 booths and 200 business members and around 15,000 visitors are set to attend.<BR/><BR/>Chinese gold jewellery could soon be a key item supplied to India after the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) signed an agreement with the Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) for official trade promotion between the two countries.
