Talks have been held between Dubai's Gold Jewellery Group and the official centre of Italian jewellery trade, Vicenza.<BR/><BR/>The UAE is already the second largest consumer of Italian jewellery and the talks were a bid to further improve the relationship between the two jewellery centres. In addition suggestions for an Italian jewellery centre in Dubai were also discussed.<BR/><BR/>Professor Manuela Dal Lago of Vicenza explained to AME Info: "We have long identified Dubai as an ideal location from which to develop, and extend, the global reach of the Italian jewellery business. <BR/><BR/>"Dubai is a truly unique jewellery market globally, especially from a manufacturing standpoint."<BR/><BR/>The groups also discussed a future meeting in Italy to look at a possible Vicenza relocation to Dubai and a high quality jewellery exhibition to be held in Dubai by the two bodies.<BR/><BR/>High-level representatives from both groups attended the meetings.
