Gold is proving a hit with the stars and on the catwalk as the precious metal is being used in fashion.<BR/><BR/>Top stars including Renee Zellweger, Scarlett Johannson and Jamie Lynn DiScala have all been seen on the red carpets in the US in golden gowns or flashing shimmering gold jewellery.<BR/><BR/>Gold outfits are proving increasingly popular at celebrity events achieving a Cinderella effect for actresses wanting to impress, according to The Age.<BR/><BR/>Fashion in America has also turned to using high amounts of gold, by including it in thicker knitting yarn and tweed materials as well as super thin tightly meshed threads.<BR/><BR/>Stars have been wearing long elegant gowns that flicker with every move, often with a trail on the back and accompanied with some sparkling jewellery.
