India and Pakistan to work together to promote goldWednesday, 9th June 2004 (4245 views) Pakistan is to begin promoting its jewellery, after India has revealed it is ready to provide technical help.The chairman of India's Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, Sanjay A Kothari claimed that Pakistan should take all the action needed to promote the sector or it would risk falling behind competitors in international terms. The Gold Art Promotion Council Pakistan (GAPCP) will receive help in promoting jewellery and gem businesses and have been advised to display their work at an up upcoming exhibition according to Asia Pulse. Mr Kothari reportedly informed the Pakistani delegation about the International Gems and Jewellery Exhibition, which will occur this August in New Delhi. The offer of help for technical assistance has been welcomed by the Pakistani group.
