Russia is preparing for the third International Jewelry Symposium, which is set to take place next month.

The technological forum allows research centres and companies from across the world to present the latest in jewellery manufacturing technology.

This year's event takes place on July 5-9 and will be held in Saint Petersburg, according to IDEX Online.

Included in the topics this year are the main problem issues in the area of jewellery manufacturing as well as advanced jewellery technology and trends.

In addition, the conference will look at new materials and foundry equipment, computer modelling in jewellery manufacturing and casting quality and ways to improve it.
