Wednesday, 14th July 2004 (5663 views) It is not just the athletes going for gold in this year's Olympics, with the fashion industry being heavily influenced by the event.<BR/><BR/>According to the Shanghai Daily News, jewellery has been given a touch of gold, in line with the sporting event.<BR/><BR/>Recently gold jewellery was focused on at the I-Style Gold Expressions fashion show of Italian jewellery in the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center.<BR/><BR/>Trends at the show helped highlight the latest gold accessories and proved the Olympics were a big influence.<BR/><BR/>A total of 24 top models displayed nearly 400 pieces of jewellery at the event, which was organised by the WGC and the Arezzo Promotion Center.<BR/><BR/>Most pieces take on a young, fun look although still remaining sophisticated with loosely looped chains, geometric pendants and crocheted gold wire.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3028455"/>
