A US senator is trying something a little different, as the only member of Congress to make jewellery.<BR/><BR/>Colorado Republican Ben Nighthorse Campbell, aged 71, will also be displaying his work in a solo art show, also not done by anyone else in Congress.<BR/><BR/>According to 9news.com, Mr Campbell's work will be on display at the Smithsonian Institution when it opens its National Museum of the American Indian.<BR/><BR/>Mr Campbell is leaving office early next year after serving in Congress since 1983, however he has been making jewellery for longer - since 1946.<BR/><BR/>In the past the family reportedly made jewellery to make money to afford basic needs such as food.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3107248"/>
