Tuesday, 27th July 2004 (5985 views) The latest meeting between the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and the Gold and Jewellery Group took place this week.<BR/><BR/>Among the issues discussed at the event, were measures to help monitor the sale of counterfeit watches of popular brands and plans to set up a DTCM information counter in Gold Souq to help tourists.<BR/><BR/>In addition groups also discussed ways to stop local tour operators from taking tourists to only the set gold and jewellery shops they decided to choose, according to Dubai Interact.<BR/><BR/>A similar meeting will be held again in the near future to determine any action needed to impose the issues covered.<BR/><BR/>Key figures such as the DTCM Deputy Manager Entertainment and Inspection, Mr. Mohammed Khalifa and DTCM Senior Manager Business Development, Ms. Lina Dergham, attended the meeting.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3114215"/>
