Monday, 16th August 2004 (5631 views) Luxury jeweller Tiffany has announced an eight per cent increase in net sales in its second quarter results.<BR/><BR/>In addition the firm reported 10 per cent growth in its US comparable store sales during the three-month period to July 31.<BR/><BR/>Chairman and chief executive officer, Michael J. Kowalski, commented: "These second quarter results reflect better-than-expected sales performance in Tiffany's U.S. retail operations."<BR/><BR/>Mr Kowalski claimed Tiffany was now launching new products and targeted marketing to help improve sales in areas where results were not as high.<BR/><BR/>New store openings at the company have been particularly high over the past year and worldwide square footage is predicted to increase by around seven per cent in 2004.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3234385"/>
