Tuesday, 17th August 2004 (5802 views) An honest taxi driver in Dubai has given up Dh1 million worth of jewellery after it was left inside his car by a tourist.<BR/><BR/>The Dubai Transport Corporation had received a call from a tourist about the lost jewellery but he did not have any further information.<BR/><BR/>Ammar bin Tamim, director of administration and marketing affairs, Dubai Transport Corporation explained: "Through our Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) system, we were able to identify the taxi where the tourist had left his bag. We immediately called the taxi driver of Dubai Transport."<BR/><BR/>To thank the driver for his honesty the corporation offered a reward of a certificate and money, according to the Khaleej Times.<BR/><BR/>However, this was not the first case of gold items being left behind - in May this year gold jewellery ornaments worth Dh 35,000 were also left in a taxi.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3240342"/>
