Thursday, 14th October 2004 (3893 views) International Taurus Resources has announced that a test mining and feasibility study programme it was conducting on its Fenelon project has achieved its key goals.<BR/><BR/>Test mining has been conducted at the joint venture high-grade gold project and has now been stopped to allow a drilling programme, which will expand the gold resource.<BR/><BR/>Robert Blakestad, president & CEO, commented: "Our work to date has shown that several critical aspects of the test-mining and feasibility-study program have been confirmed."<BR/><BR/>Mr Blakestad claims that the current resource will be able to be developed very quickly following a positive feasibility study and could see first year production of 40,000 ounces of gold or more.<BR/><BR/>Taurus is a Canadian exploration and mineral development company with significant gold projects in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.<BR/><BR/>The Fenelon project is based in the Casa Berardi area of northwestern Quebec.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3615439"/>
