Tuesday, 19th October 2004 (5856 views) The 17th MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show has been named a success, after on-site sales reach over $27 million.<BR/><BR/>Running for five days, the event saw more than 200 exhibitors from 20 countries and sales did not include business leads received by exhibitors during the show.<BR/><BR/>The expo has a mix of gold jewellery displays, watches and different kinds of tools used in the sector, according to AME Info.<BR/><BR/>Diamond jewellery in particular did well, as the middle class in the UAE becomes increasingly conscious of its value and guarantee.<BR/><BR/>In addition, people continued to show their confidence in and love of gold at the show.<BR/><BR/>Among the companies taking part, that all said they were satisfied with the number and quality of visitors, were UAE-based Cougar Jewellery, Al Anwaar Golden Jewellers, Azar Jewelers and Salem Al Shuebi Jewellery.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3653042"/>
