Latest jewellery trends in India are seeing a change from the traditional, with heavy and antique looking gold jewellery proving popular this Dussera - the Indian festival of joy.<BR/><BR/>According to Express India, the older the jewellery looks the more popular and stylish it is.<BR/><BR/>In particular, brides appear to be opting for heavy gold jewellery, whilst working women seem to be choosing smaller jewellery with precious stones.<BR/><BR/>P N Gadgil shop manager Sunil Pathak claims that new designs are popular since colours incorporated into the gold can match different consumers' sarees.<BR/><BR/>"For Dussera, the trend is more towards buying gold that people don't intend to melt because it is one of the most auspicious days in the year. Bridal jewellery in an antique look is popular," she explained.<BR/><BR/>Other trends identified are ethnic gold jewellery, white gold and smaller pendants and rings.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3681197"/>
