Thursday, 28th October 2004 (4312 views) Kansai Mining Corporation has announced that work at its Migori gold project is going well.<BR/><BR/>According to the company, the gold resources for the project have risen from 750,000 ounces to 1,238,000 ounces.<BR/><BR/>The increased gold resources are the result of a completion of a drilling programme that took place in the second quarter of this year, according to The Nation.<BR/><BR/>Results from the study have been independently reviewed and the main areas of interest were four previously known mineralisation areas - Kakula-Kalange-Munyu, Gori Maria, the MK zone and Nyanza.<BR/><BR/>Further drilling is now planned to include all four zones, other gold bearing prospects and a programme in Macalder.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3731608"/>
