Thursday, 18th November 2004 (5783 views) A woman from Illinois, America, has managed to turn her love for jewellery into a profit making business.<BR/><BR/>Melissa LaPota enjoyed a hobby of jewellery making and has now begun to sell a profitable line of custom made earrings, necklaces and bracelets.<BR/><BR/>The Tessa Jewelry designs have now grown so popular that they are sold in retail stores and on the Internet.<BR/><BR/>"People have actually stopped and complimented me about a particular necklace I happen to be wearing. When they find out it's my own design, they offer to buy it right from my neck," Ms LaPota told Pioneer Press.<BR/><BR/>The jewellery line comes in 14 carat gold and also includes semi precious gems and pearls.<BR/><BR/>Prices for the range begin at $55 and move up to $800.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7096578"/>
