Friday, 26th November 2004 (4335 views) An exhibition revealing details of life in the Aztec empire is being held in the Guggenheim Museum, showcasing around 450 objects.<BR/><BR/>'The Aztec Empire' is running until February and includes a number of objects including gold jewellery and sculptures.<BR/><BR/>According to Science Monitor, the expo has over 40 rare gold objects and 35 per cent of the items have not been outside Mexico before.<BR/><BR/>One particular item of interest is a delicate necklace of gold teardrops and shells, which is being shown for the first time in the US.<BR/> <BR/>Forty museums in Mexico City have specially loaned items for the exhibition.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7168156"/>
