A new collection of hand-made jewellery by designer Miata Jones is being showcased across New York.

A variety of colourful designs of necklaces, bracelets and earrings are available at selected stories across the city, including 30vandam New York, Coup de Coeur and Scruples East. Retail prices range from $50 -$600.

"I work with any shape, cut or colour stone that catches my eye," the designer said.

"I try to make a statement with each piece, which I hope others feel when they wear my jewellery. I like to make pieces that I would choose if I were looking for myself or friends.

"As my personal style changes, I am constantly driven to create new work to keep my designs fresh, modern and classic."

Miata Jones designs launched her distinct line of jewellery in March of 2004. The designer is renowned for looking to nature to inspire her creations that feature a variety of precious and semi-precious stones such as Aquamarine, Tourmaline, Amethyst, Citrine ,Topaz, Sapphire, Ruby, Lapis Lazuli and Emerald.
