As Sony releases its next MP3 player and the sector continues to be increasingly popular, a company from Sweden has created an item with a glamourous touch.

In line with the latest gold gadgets, including gold mobile phones, a gold plated MP3 playing necklace has now been created.

Made by Jens of Sweden, the gold Excentrique MP-400 is priced at $11,000.

The perfect accessory for fans of bling or owners of a bejewelled mobile phone, the MP3 necklace has a 200-song capacity.

MP3 players have also recently been launched in wristwatch and pendant formats.
