TV plea considered to find Osbourne jewellery thieves

Tuesday, 14th December 2004 (4133 views)

Former X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne may be appearing on television tonight to track down the gold jewellery and other items stolen from her home last month.

The confident and opinionated star could be seen on the BBC's Crimewatch programme, to try and track down the raiders who stole from her Buckinghamshire mansion and confronted her rock star husband.

Around £12 million worth of jewellery was stolen from the family, including a number of sentimental items, such as a ring Sharon purchased after battling with cancer.

Reports have suggested that the police are no closer to finding the culprits and that the family now feel uncomfortable in their home and were considering auctioning the remainder of their jewellery.

Thames Valley Police explained to the Mirror: "They are trying to get hold of Sharon to do a pre-recorded message. If she can't appear then officers will do it instead. It is hoped someone will come forward."
