Wednesday, 15th December 2004 (6108 views) Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova has announced that she is to be the new ambassador for the TAG Heuer watch brand.<br/><br/>Ms Sharopova, 17, will be the youngest representative for the company and her photo will be used on advertising for the firm's new 'What are you made of?' campaign.<br/><br/>TAG Heuer produces a host of watches, including new items such as the Microtimer, Carera and Monaco ranges for women, with designs available in a host of materials including gold.<br/><br/>"To represent a brand as legendary as TAG Heuer is a great honour. I am thrilled to become a TAG Heuer brand ambassador," the tennis champion said.<br/><br/>"To me, TAG Heuer is a perfect fit because I love fine watches, glamour and becoming part of a winning team. I look forward to building a strong relationship with TAG Heuer in the coming years," she added.<br/><br/>The tennis star has signed a long-term agreement with the LMVH watchmaking company and will take an active role in product advertising, public relations, product development and visual marketing.<br/><br/>Ms Sharapova follows stars such as golf champion Tiger Woods, world-class diver Tanya Streeter and Formula One race car driver Kimi Raokknen.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7324161"/>
