Movado and Hugo Boss sign watch agreementFriday, 17th December 2004 (5502 views) Watchmaker Movado has revealed a new global license agreement to supply watches for international fashion firm Hugo Boss.The agreement comes into effect from March 21 and will see the companies work together to produce, design and manufacture a watch collection under brand names Boss and Hugo. Under the deal, Movado will have exclusive rights to distribute and manufacture the whole collection of fashion watches and items will be sold in outlets in Europe, the US and Asia. CEO and Chairman of Hugo Boss AG Bruno Salzer told National Jeweler: "Our strategy is to cooperate with licensing partners that lead their markets and work successfully with powerful brands. "In Movado Group, we feel sure we have found a partner capable of further extending our position in the superior fashion watch segment." Items created by Movado include men and women's watches, such as the men's Celestina range containing gold bracelets and features on the watch face.
