Friday, 17th December 2004 (8209 views) The Poompuhar showroom in India is proving a big hit with festive customers and jewellery lovers with its huge range of jewellery at affordable prices.<br/><br/>Located at Anna Salia, the showroom is state owned and features a host of items including jewellery, according to News Today.<br/><br/>Poompuhar has a new collection of jewellery including semi-precious stones, artificial diamonds, stone studded bangles and beads.<br/><br/>In addition, a host of gold plated items have been created from areas including Bangalore, Mumbai and Jaipur.<br/><br/>"Invariably, New Year is a time for presenting gifts. And, what suits better a woman than the ornaments that add a touch of beauty and grace to her?" the manager of the showroom, V Subbaiyan, explained.<br/><br/>"Also, we did not want to confine the exhibition to mere Christmas related gifts as that was too small for an exhibition," he added.<br/><br/>The exhibition was launched yesterday and will be open until January 1st next year, operating all day, every day except Sundays.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7345183"/>
