A leading search engine has found that rings are proving popular this Valentine's Day, with internet users becoming more romantic with their searches.<br/><br/>Lycos released the search engine results, giving details of the most popular search terms relating to Valentine's Day based on the Lycos 50, a weekly list of the most popular people, places and things.<br/><br/>The survey showed that gold engagement rings were the ninth most popular engagement ring search item, with diamond rings the most popular.<br/><br/>"If web search activity is any indication, we are more romantic this Valentine's Day compared to last year," said writer Dean Tsouvalas.<br/><br/>Jewellery was a popular search item with internet users overall, as people get prepared for this Valentine's.<br/><br/>However, findings also indicate that women are doing more searching than men, with searches for romantic gifts for him, found to be outnumbering those for women.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7772856"/>
