The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (Assocham) is calling for new rules for global gold refineries.<br/><br/>According to Assocham, the government should allow global gold refineries to set up their shops in India, according to the Financial Express.<br/><br/>The refineries would then be able to recycle huge stocks of gold jewellery and scrap worth around Rs 9 lakh crore.<br/><br/>In addition, the companies could also open up gold retailing to buyers overseas.<br/><br/>Assocham also wants restrictions on overseas business for gold mining to be removed.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7824314"/>
