Wednesday, 16th March 2005 (5543 views) A metal detector in West Norfolk has discovered a collection of Roman treasures.<br/><br/>Stephen Brown, a metal detector enthusiast from Kings Lynn, discovered second century bronze coins and a gold ring dating from the fourth century.<br/><br/>The piece of jewellery, around 3mm across in size, was slightly "squashed" when Mr Brown discovered the items on farmland in the area, according to Kings Lynn Today.<br/><br/>London's British Museum is now analysing the items and any profits will be split between Mr Brown and the farmer who owns the land the items were found on.<br/><br/>An inquest in Lynn's St Margaret's House saw the items declared as treasure trove.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8042318"/>
