Friday, 18th March 2005 (5787 views) Chennai is gearing up to host the Gold Jewellery India International Exhibition 2005.<br/><br/>The event is being organised by the World Gold Council (WGC) and Madras Jewellers and Diamond Merchant's Association in a bid to help develop links between manufacturers of jewellery and jewellery-making equipment in India and the rest of the world.<br/><br/>It also offers artisans the opportunity to showcase new designs and techniques. <br/><br/>Organisers expect the fair to attract around 150 jewellery companies from manufacturing centres like West Bengal, Maharashtra, Surat, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, as well as firms from Singapore, Italy, Turkey and Malaysia. <br/><br/>The exhibition will take place at the Chennai Trade centre between May 20th and 22nd.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8062454"/>
