A new survey has shown wedding products are among the top items searched for on the internet.<br/><br/>The study by AOL found engagement rings and wedding bands were both particularly high occurring search items, according to Rapaport.<br/><br/>Following recent findings that more women are purchasing their own jewellery and decide their own wedding rings these latest results could provide new opportunities for gold jewellers.<br/><br/>The findings are based upon terms receiving the highest number of online enquiries in the US from January 1st to March 21st.<br/><br/>"Looking at search terms seasonally and seeing what's gaining in popularity on AOL Search can reveal a lot about emerging trends and what's hot with consumers," Jim Riesenbach, senior vice president of AOL Search and Navigation, said.<br/><br/>In addition, internet orders by Nielsen/NetRatings showed that jewellery was the 12th highest category for online retail spending.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8262701"/>
