Atna begins Nevada drill programme

Canada's Atna Resources has revealed a drill programme has begun at its Pinson gold project to ascertain gold mineralisation in the area.<br/><br/>The project located in Humboldt County in Nevada will have 12 holes drilled over an area of 16,000 feet.<br/><br/>Reverse circulation pre-collar holes have already been made and will be followed by core tails.<br/><br/>According to the firm unexpected gold mineralisation has already been identified in four of six completed pre-collars.<br/><br/>In addition, new results obtained from work conducted so far has shown a number of potential opportunities for high grade and open pit targets.<br/><br/>Where opportunities have already been discovered, further drilling will now take place to further explore the area's potential.<br/><br/>Measured and indicated resources at the site stand at 1.758 million tonnes, grading 0.30 ounces/tonne gold at 0.15 ounces/tonne gold.<br/><br/>It is hoped underground exploration and development will take place in the second quarter of this year.<br/><br/>Atna is currently building a gold exploration, development and mining enterprise in Nevada and is exploring and developing a host of gold projects.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8531431"/>
