Thursday, 26th May 2005 (6416 views) This year's 2005 HRD Awards diamond jewellery design contest saw three pieces of gold jewellery win prizes.<br/><br/>Five winners were selected at the contest from a collection of 49 that reached the final round, according to Tacy Ltd.<br/><br/>Top prize went to Ceara McGuire from Belgium who created five brooches constructed from paper folded origami-style and crossed with a band of diamonds set in white gold.<br/><br/>In addition, Ming Yi Chang from China, offered a more natural product, with his Globefish necklace made from yellow gold and rubber.<br/><br/>Another gold item was the Japanese Fan necklace from finalist Shimada Sachiko, which was made of red bamboo strips and white gold.<br/><br/>Many people consider the competition the best in the world for its sector, running since 1984.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8595253"/>
