Thursday, 16th June 2005 (4734 views) The world's biggest gold bullion bar has been created by a Japanese company.<br/><br/>Japan's Mitsubishi Materials has produced a 250-kg block worth around $3.44 billion, based on current prices.<br/><br/>"We decided to create an even larger gold bullion bar this time to demonstrate to the world our sophisticated minting technology, and we have been successful," the company told Reuters.<br/><br/>Mitsubishi Materials first produced a 200kg block in 2000 and was placed in the Guinness Book of Records.<br/><br/>Last year saw another company in Taiwan produce a 220-kg bar of gold.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8760538"/>
