Great potential in Quebec mineTuesday, 12th July 2005 (2820 views) Century Mining Corporation has located an unexploited high-grade ore zone at the Sigma-Lamaque Complex in Quebec.Geologists pinpointed the Bedard Dyk utilising a combination of reconnaissance work. The discovery is typical of the area and the dyke has the potential to host several hundred thousand tonnes of gold-bearing material. The Bedard Dyke can be accessed from the wall of the open pit and can be easily mined by large-tonnage underground techniques. Century will conduct further exploration and development work with the objective of developing the ounces to supplement the existing open pit operation. Margaret Kent, President and C.E.O. of Century, stated: "This significant discovery confirms the potential of the Sigma-Lamaque Complex that we envisioned when we acquired the assets last September. We believe that there is potential to delineate over one million ounces of gold in known extensions to existing structures. We plan to carry out an exploration and development program on the unexploited high-grade ore zone with the objective of providing the material as mill feed within the next six months," she concluded.
