Thursday, 28th July 2005 (6400 views) Jewellery designers in Israel are being encouraged to go to Japan to take part in an upcoming exhibition in Tokyo.<br/><br/>The exhibition, being organised by Reed Exhibitions Japan and the Japan Jewellery Association, is expected to attract thousands of visitors and designers are being encouraged to display their goods.<br/><br/>Reeds Exhibitions director of international sales, Sharon Chan, has led a concerted drive to recruit Israeli designers to join the event.<br/><br/>The most productive way to enter the market in Japan is to go there and meet a large number of quality buyers, Chan told Rapaport News. <br/><br/>Japan is regarded as a tough market to crack, but Reed Exhibitons believe that if an effort is made to get known and meet the right people, success is possible.<br/><br/>"If you have the right products, Japan is a worthwhile market," Chan added. <br/><br/>Gold and diamond jewellery is a popular product among wealthy Japanese consumers, with design and quality crucial elements in promoting demand.<br/><br/>It is felt that Israeli design will appeal to the discerning Japanese market.<img alt="track" src="http://feeds.directnews.org.uk/feedtrack/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=15012508"/>
