Wednesday, 24th August 2005 (7707 views) Haifa Wahbi, a top Lebanese singer and model, has launched a new jewellery collection.<br/><br/>In a grand ceremony in Lebanon the star launched her collection with a speech, according to Elaph.<br/><br/>Her jewellery is fashioned from white and yellow gold and each piece sports an engraved 'H'.<br/><br/>Al Jamhouria newspaper voted her 'Best Arabic Young Female Singer' and the BBC picked her to front a campaign encouraging people in the Middle East to learn English.<br/><br/>Currently Ms Wahbi hosts 'Al Wadi', a reality TV show through which she launched her latest song 'Al Tabee'ah' (By Nature).<br/><br/>The Middle East is a large consumer of gold jewellery which must be above 18-carats to qualify as gold and Dubai is dubbed the 'City of Gold'.<br/>
