Cricket star Kevin Pietersen who bats for England has proved his love of gold by ordering some studs that feature white gold cricket balls with diamond stitching.<br/><br/>The good-looking cricket player visited Burrells jewellers in Canary Wharf, London and walked out with an array of jewels.<br/><br/>South African-born Pietersen was loaned some diamond studs until his £25,000 cricket ball studs arrive and the jewellers are also providing him with a £50,000 cricket bat pendant.<br/><br/>Scott Drewell, manager of Burrells told The Wharf that: "Kevin likes to stand out in the crowd, the more eye-catching the jewellery the better."<br/><br/>"He's quite a unique character. Dare I say he's the new David Beckham," he continued. <br/><br/>Mr Pietersen recently played in the Ashes Test at Lords and is known for being a little superstitious as he always puts his left hand pad on first.<br/>
