Wednesday, 31st August 2005 (4141 views) Hundreds of gold coins have been discovered at the house of the late Priyamvada Birla. <br/><br/>Dating from the Mughal, Gupta and Maurya periods the gold coins are estimated to be worth tens of millions of rupees.<br/><br/>After entering a secret strong room in the property, several artefacts were also taken from a safe.<br/><br/>Amongst these dazzling discoveries were a gold flower vase and a gold tea set.<br/><br/>The recovery was carried out on the orders of the Calcutta High Court after it requested an inventory of Mr Birla's possessions.<br/><br/>Mr Birla's sizable assets are currently being disputed between the Birla family and the chartered accountant Lodha.<br/><br/>
