Tuesday, 20th September 2005 (6194 views) The Second Moscow World Fine Art Fair opens today (September 20th) at the Manezh exhibition hall in Moscow and runs until September 26th.Almost three times as many exhibitors will be there than at last year's event as sixty-four galleries from Paris, London, Brussels, New York, Germany, Moscow and St. Petersburg exhibit collections. Gold pieces are expected in the lower level of the exhibition hall, which will host displays by several notable jewellers and be decorated to resemble the famous Parisian street, Avenue Montaine, reports Novosti. Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, David Morris, Buccellati, Chopard, Cartier and Gilbert Albert will all be among more than 20 jewellers exhibiting their works. According to Bloomberg, larger gold items will also be on display such as a fourth-century Scythian gold mask originating from the Black Sea's north shore and shown by Manhattan-based Ariadne Galleries. Last year the fine art fair attracted 25,000 visitors and double the number are expected this year.
