Wednesday, 21st September 2005 (6026 views) A new line of mineral water containing gold has just been packaged by ABC Dispensing Technologies, based in Nevada in the US.Branded mineral water frequently boasts a high mineral content but never before has a manufacturers incorporated colloidal gold into its product. Named 'au Le Cadeau', whereby Au stands for gold's chemical symbol, the mineral water comes in a 12-ounce glass container in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. The company suggests that since historic times gold has been used as an elixir. According to Japanese tradition, thin gold foils were placed in tea, sake and food to benefit health. Currently, the gold components Myocrisin and Auranofin are used to treat arthritis and in addition to its direct uses, gold can be used as a drug delivery chip.
