Images Jewellers was named second prize winner in the $3,000 and over category of the Jewellers of America Design Competition Indiana heat.

It entered a pair of oval-shaped Burmese ruby earrings set in 24-carat gold and surrounded by diamonds.

The rubies weighed a total of 4.02 carats, while the diamonds, which were set in 18-carat white gold, weighed 2.91 carats.

Commenting on the win, lead designer Robert Klose declared: "after more than five years out of the design competition scene it was wonderful to return with such great results".

The criteria for the judging were overall design, marketability, practicality, wearablility, and craftsmanship.
