Britney Spears has highlighted her post-pregnancy belly with a white gold piercing.

The 23-year-old, who shot to fame for flaunting her stomach in hits from her debut Baby One More Time album, had the piercing done in New York City.

The piercing itself is in blue topaz and white gold and cost around £120.

Maria Tash, who performed the piercing, suggested that Britney was re-adorning her body in an attempt to reclaim it.

Britney gave birth to a son, Sean Preston, on September 12th and her latest single is entitled Me Against The Music.

Gold is frequently the metal of choice for those wishing to emphasise their features, be it ears, décolleté, wrists or stomach.
