Friday, 24th February 2006 (6014 views) Italian white gold was one of the many exquisite items on display at Chennai Trade Centre in India recently.Business persons and delegates got the chance to view an array of precious items at the event held by the Madras Jewellers and Diamond Merchants Association in connection with the Gold India International Exhbition. Visitors were treated to a dozen themed sequences ranging from Festival Mood to Moods of Love and concluding with the grand finale Durbar sequence. Event-goers gasped during the elegant Moods of Love sequence, featuring a romantic story where three lonely princesses were brought to life on seeing couples in love. The players wore exotic neckpieces including Italian white gold jewellery, which could be used for social occasions and formal functions. Uday Kumar Vummidi, the event chairman commented: "The show is part of a business-to-business trade event what with Chennai being the largest consumer of jewellery in India. "It's about best designs, best patterns and best prices - the end benefit going to the customer." Organisers hoped the event showcased the timeless appeal of gold, which transcends the fickle, changeable tastes of the fashion world.
