Wednesday, 22nd March 2006 (5576 views) A fashion show featuring more than 100 pieces of gold jewellery kick-started the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles on Sunday.Inspired by the film Mahogany, in which Diana Ross wore a great deal of gold jewellery, designer Kevan Hall's Fall 2006 Runway Show ensured the week started well. "I am committed to making women feel beautiful," said Mr Hall. "The confident allure of warm yellow gold is a perfect fit for my fall collection. I want women who wear my gowns to bask in the glory of their own beauty and nothing makes a woman look and feel as good as gold." Gold pieces in the show included stackable gold bangles and layered chains. Featured designers included Barbara D'Oro, Carolina Bucci, Charles Garnier, Chimento, Deborah Pangle and Emily Armenta.
