Rajesh exports deal

Wednesday, 12th April 2006 (4010 views)

Gold jewellery manufacturer Rajesh Exports has landed itself a multi-million pound deal.

The Indian jewellery firm has just signed a 1,780 million rupee (£22.5 million) order with Excel Goldsmiths to supply exclusive designer jewellery.

Rajesh Exports' executive chairman, Rajesh Mehta, said: "This order is significant as it is for the supply of designer jewellery, which would provide better bottom-line margins for the company."

News comes after a successful last quarter for the firm when it claimed to have developed 1,500 new designs and acquired the branded jewellery network Oyzterbay.

Work needs to start soon at Rajesh's Bangalore workshop as the gold jewellery designs need to be complete by July 31st of this year.
