Bespoke gold scales go on sale

Thursday, 27th April 2006 (4459 views)

Mettler Toledo has announced a new range of jewellery scales that can be used by goldsmiths, jewellery shops and manufacturers.

All of the scales have a number of functions integrated, which are especially important when measuring gold.

These include piece counting, per cent weighing and normal weighing functions.

All of the scales in the range are approved legal for trade, which means they can be used where a product is purchased or sold based on its weight.

Craig Rowles, a market specialist, said that the accuracy level of the gold scales was "unprecedented" and that the enhancements incorporated in the new range bring "ergonomic, productive benefits".

All units come with a small footprint and an integrated auxiliary display, which allows users to see the weighing result from over a counter, making it ideal for use in shops selling gold jewellery.
