Gold mining company Cassidy has announced the results of its latest reverse circulation and aircore drilling at its Kouroussa project in Guinea, West Africa.

Promising results include discoveries of 5.1 grams of gold per tonne over 14 metres, 7.73 g/t over 11 metres and 15.65 g/t over three metres at three separate exploration sites.

The Kinkine zone, where the Kouroussa property is located, is 2.5 miles north of another Cassidy exploration project at the Sanu Filanan deposit, which has potential for an open-pit mine in the future.

Although exploration has now ceased because of the beginning of the wet season in West Africa, the company expects to begin further investigation once the weather trend undergoes a favourable change.

Cassidy Gold is based in Canada but focuses its exploration work throughout the western areas of Africa - particularly in Guinea, where the company is one of the industry leaders for total output and national and regional production.
