Friday, 21st July 2006 (3241 views) Investigating whether the existing mineralisation zone at the Colpaquin Property in Mexico can be extended, UC Resources has now announced drill assay results for the site. The work was carried out on the site of an old mine, the La Soledad Mine, to establish whether a strike extension to a greater depth could be a possibility. Drilling between 15 and 20 metres further down from the present workings, the investigation revealed a mineralised zone of just over five metres containing quartz and gold, among other findings. The zone yielded gradings of 44.6 grams per tonne of gold with 1.75 metres recorded at a grade of 112.8 grams per tonne of gold. Upon receipt of the results from the last two drill holes, the company intends to review its investigation data and formulate a budget and plan for the third phase of its programme, which will incorporate further drill testing of the site.
