Wednesday, 25th October 2006 (3165 views) Cluff Gold has declared its intention to go ahead with two gold projects in west Africa, one at the Angovia gold project in Cote d'Ivoire and the other at Kalaska's gold project in Burkino Faso.The two projects will proceed with the help of mining contractor Banlaw Africa, with the company aiming to develop both sites. In preparation for the development work at the two mines, Cluff Gold has announced that it has ordered two MMD mineral sizers and spares. Douglas Chikohora, Cluff Gold's technical director, stated: "The appointments of a mining contractor and project engineer are key milestones in the development of Kalsaka and Angovia." He continued: "Our combined knowledge of west Africa will be extremely beneficial to the successful transformation of the company as we move from exploration to production." The company currently has gold deposits in four west African countries; Sierra Leone, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkino Faso and Mali and within two years Cluff Gold aims to have the capacity put in place to mine a potential 300,000 ounces of gold.
