Initially, the work will focus on an area that has seen trenching already and a total of 19 drill lines of rotary air blast drill holes will be made at a depth of between 55 and 70 metres. Previous pit sampling and trenching at Siribaya discovered 3.1 grams of gold per tonne over a distance of 35 metres which included 17 metres at five grams per tonne. And confirmation of a "major gold occurrence" was gained from saprolitic rocks in the area. The mining company has established a presence in Mali, obtaining five permits along with its partner Touba mining in the country and land that accounts for some 700 square kilometres.
