Argentinean success for ExeterThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Tuesday, 28th November 2006 (3186 views) Exeter Resource Corporation has intersected high-grade gold mineralisation at its flagship project in Argentina. The La Cabeza gold project has been diamond drilled over the last two years and five drills are currently in operation there. In July near surface gold intersections were reported on the central vein but now tests have shown that there is a 1.3 metre stretch with a grading of 67.5 grams of gold per tonne. Another highlight was the 0.5 metre length with a grade of 173.5 grams of gold per tonne. The edges of the zone have now been defined while silver grades are also being deciphered. Labio East is another vein within project boundaries which has yielded high gold grades including 1.2 metres at a grade of 28.7 grams of gold. Further drilling is one of Exeter's priorities. Mineral rights in Argentina differ to those in the US because they are considered forms of real property which can be sold on a commercial basis to third parties at will. Mining potential in the region is relatively under explored due to a lack of systematic research into the mining capacity of the area.
