ValGold issues 2006's resultsThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Wednesday, 21st February 2007 (3081 views) ValGold Resources has now received all the assays for last year's drilling campaigns at its north-eastern Ontario project. The Garrison gold project, which is owned in its entirety by ValGold, had a total of 22,465 metres of drilling last year which adds up to a total of 24,042 metres since the beginning of exploration work which began in 2005. Much of the work concentrated on a promising gold zone hosted by the Munro Fault Zone. It was delineated so that the depth continuity of gold mineralisation could be deciphered. Gold continued from 145 metres underground to a depth of 600 metres below surface and the average grade was 6.29 grams of gold per tonne. The Garrison gold property was also a hotspot for ValGold Resources during last year because exploration by previous operators showed that there are gold zones over the 1.7 kilometre strike length of the fault and it extends to a depth of 300 metres. ValGold is based in Vancouver in Canada and its mission statement is to generate wealth for stakeholders by buying under-explored mineral resources.
